Video Game Adaptations 3 Part 1 - Tomb Raider, with Why the Flick?

For this months episode as A Minecraft Movie is out, which features Jack Black and his incredibly bushy beard and Jason Momoa's pink jacket we are not talking about these guys. We are going back to one of our favourite episodes, Video Game Adaptations, for the third time. Joining me for the third time also is the fabulous Claire from Why the Flick?

The host is going first for this episode, and is going for a rebooted/prequel video game adaptation in the form of Tomb Raider from 2018 starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. On this one we talk about how they incorporate the video game elements into the story telling. We talk about how the film could be considered over stuffed with action and the story feels more realistic but disappointing by the end. We about the amazing physical performance from Alicia Vikander and the brilliant subtitles from Walton Goggins as the villain. Plus we talk about fox hunting in central London. IMDB page
