This is a film podcast where we pick our favourite film topic, like a director, actor or genre, any subject related to film. Martin the host and a guest, each pick a film to discuss from that topic. We discuss them in three different aspects of each film, Directing, screenplay and acting. Then we rank each aspect out of ten. Plus we pick our favourite shot or scenes, lines and performances. At the end we tally the points and see who wins.

As the highly anticipated sequel to the eighties classic, Top Gun: Maverick will be hitting the biggest of screens around the world. And of course Maverick can only be played by one man. Tom Cruise. So we will be picking our favourite films of his work to battle it out.

Boaz's pick for this week is the Oliver Stone Classic, Born on the Fourth of July. On the this we talk about the bio pick genre in general and works well in this one. We talk about the incredible acting skills of Tom Cruise and incredible directional skills of Oliver Stone. We may shout penis on occasion. IMDB page
